P89Vr1RB2 Flash-Magic ISP

This information is directed to the NXP series of microcontrollers developed by Philips. The P89V51R?2 microcontroller is a series of 80C51 devices that have in-system programming. The device is a 40MHz, 5 Volt 8051-based microcontroller with 32 I/O lines, 3 Timers/Counters, 9 Interrupts/4 priority levels. The device can double clock in the X2 mode which results in 6 clocks per machine cycles.

In System Programming (ISP) is used to load programs via a serial connection on a PC. Software is required on the PC. NXP-Philips provides one for download called FlashMagic from Embedded Systems Academy at  http://www.flashmagictool.com.

 

A connector is required to translate the ethernet cable to the chip.
